Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 15 cups Popped Popcorn (unsalted)
  • 1 cup ·Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter or Margarine
  • ¼ cup Light Com Syrup
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Baking Soda

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
  • Combine sugar, butter, syrup and salt in medium saucepan.
  • Heat to boiling over medium heat stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Boil 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Immediately stir in soda until foamy.
  • With popcorn in very large mixing bowl, pour caramel over it and stir to coat (be careful, caramel is very hot).
  • Spread caramel com on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent scorching.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Put in container. Let cool. Break apart. Enjoy!
