Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Yields: 2.5 lbs

Ingredients

  • 1 jar Marshmallow Creme (7 oz.)
  • 1 ½ cup Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Evaporated Milk
  • ¼ cup Butter (1/2 stick)
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • 1 package (11 ½ oz.) Nestle Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels (equals 2 cups)
  • 1 package (6 oz.) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels ( equals 1 cup)
  • 1 cup Walnuts ( chopped)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • Maraschino Cherries (optional)

Directions

  • In large saucepan, combine marshmallow creme, sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt.
  • Heat to a full rolling boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly.
  • Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Add chocolate morsels (both varieties). Stir until morsels are melted and mixture is blended.
  • Stir in walnuts and vanilla extract.
  • Pour into foil-lined 8" or 9" square pan.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Cut into 1-inch squares.
