Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs. Carrots
  • 1 /3 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 2 Tbsp. Margarine or Butter
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Orange Peel (grated)

Directions

  • Peel carrots and remove ends.
  • Cut carrots into julienne strips. Boil in water for 18 to 20 minutes ( or steam for 9 to 11 minutes or microwave in ¼ cup water for 6 to 8 minutes).
  • Cook remaining ingredients in a 12"skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly.
  • Stir in carrots. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed and hot
