Ingredients

2 cups Lukewarm Water1 Yeast Cake (or package Dry Yeast)1 Tbsp. SugarEnough flour to thicken batter¾ c sugar1 Tbsp. Salt2 Tbsp. Shortening or Oil1 Egg
Directions

Mix water, yeast and flour together and let rise at least double.Punch back down and add remaining ingredients.Add enough flour for stiff batter to knead. Then knead and put into bread pans.Let rise and brush with butter.Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
