Meatloaf

Yields: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Dry Mustard
  • 2 tsp. Seasoned Salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. Onion Powder
  • ¼ tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped Bell Pepper
  • 1 ½ cup Crushed Wheat Chex Cereal
  • 1 ½ lbs. Ground Beef
  • ½ cup Finely Chopped Onion ( optional)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar and dry mustard. Stir well.
  • Reserve 4 Tbsp for topping (if topping is desired).
  • Add to the remaining ketchup mixture, Worcestershire sauce, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and egg. Blend well.
  • Add bell pepper and chex cereal.
  • Add ground beef and mix well with clean hands. Shape into loaf in a shallow baking dish.
  • Bake FOR 65 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven. Spread with topping.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
